Common Upload Issues ►

Uploading your game film to Krossover is extremely easy. We accept dozens of video formats and video sizes, and coaches are able to upload game film and get back to coaching within minutes.

While we constantly strive to make this process as seamless as possible, you still could experience issues while uploading your film.

The below information addresses common issues we see when coaches upload film, and possible solutions:

Long Upload Times

You potentially may run into long upload times because of the source of where your video is coming from. A prime example is uploading games straight from a DVD:

  • Uploading From a DVD: When uploading game film straight a DVD, it is common that the reason why your upload is taking a long time because of DVD drive speeds. Because of how the film is being processed, it takes longer for a computer to pass the files from the DVD drive to our servers.

  • Uploading From DVD Alternatives: Try copying the game film files to your hard drive prior to uploading. Then when you select the files to upload, make sure it is the copied files. Another way to avoid this is asking your video coordinator to upload the video to Krossover for you directly. It will save everyone on your team time, and it takes the same amount of time to upload a video to Krossover versus burning a DVD.

Internet Connection Speeds

The biggest factor in uploading game film is the speed of your internet connection. If you are uploading film from your school, we ask you to communicate to your IT department exactly what you're doing and see if they can help.

  • Do an Internet Speed Test: You can test the speed of your internet connection by going to SpeedTest.net. This test will help our team help find a solution to your long upload times.

Make Your Video Files Smaller

A very effective way to decrease upload times is compressing your video files by converting them to different formats. To do this, we recommend using the free version of Any Video Converter. The Upload Does Not Complete

The most common reason for uploads not completing is because your laptop or computer may have fallen asleep. Make sure your sleep settings are disabled prior to uploading your game film so you can leave your desk while the game uploads.
